After graduate school, I was a school social worker for more than a decade. My focus was on children of all ages and developmental levels/challenges and their families. Later, I began a home organization business, The Confidential Organizer, combining home organizing with social work. In this capacity, I began working with adults with mental clutter, chronic disorganization and ADD/ADHD.
Currently, my practice is client and goal focused. We explore the past, present and future. When solutions are not possible, the goal is to enhance one's coping skills. My therapeutic approach is not the traditional construct in a number of ways. Sessions are personalized and non medical in feeling. Sessions are conducted in your home, while walking, or virtually. Most sessions are an hour long, but sessions can be extended. Clients and their children have changeable schedules and by maintaining a small client load, it allows for schedules to be flexible if necessary.
